Dr. Lafon was raised in Ada, Oklahoma. He attended medical school at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. His post graduate residency training was performed at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio Texas.

His Military service took him to Ireland Army Hospital, Honduras, Seoul, Korea, and Germany.

He left the US Army in 1989 and has continued to serve and provide healthcare to the residents of Payne, Creek and Lincoln Counties for the past 30+ years.
